STEM Adventures with Dr. Mary

Dr. Mary Payton is a two time award winning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) author. Her career spans 40 years of STEM education, literacy and STEM communication. Dr. Mary returned to Texas as an educator after a successful 29 year military career as a Chemical Officer.

She has been honored for her performance as a STEM educator in the areas of Science, Robotics and Engineering. Due to military families relocating about every three years, Dr. Mary exposed her children to STEM at every duty station. Because of these experiences she was motivated by her family and friends to write "Taylor's STEM Adventures", a book series chronicling STEM activities focused on family relocation and travel.

Taylor's STEM Adventures books are written for children K-5 grades, but has been purchased by many older readers and adults for use in their own travels. Dr. Mary is a co-author of Embracing STEM Smarts which features seven local women in STEM.
